Liberty University offers a different type of academic calendar. There are the typical three terms each year. However, each 16 week term has three eight week sub terms. Depending on the particular class, it may span the entire 16 week term or it may be just eight weeks. This allows students the opportunity to accelerate their program by being able to take more classes during the academic term.
